Brighton Photo Biennial 2008

Memory of Fire & Glorious Trafalgar

Timed to coincide with Memory of Fire and Fringe events during Brighton Photo Biennial 2008 and Trafalgar Day 2008, Verite Gallery, Goring, will be exhibiting 12 images from DP Kilfeather's Battle of Trafalgar re-enactment body of work. The 2008 exhibition Glorious Trafalgar juxtaposes stunningly beautiful photographs with the actual history of the battle where 5000 sailors lost their lives. The work was informed by Kilfeather's own background in the Royal Navy and his incredulity at humankind's enduring imperative to glorify war. The images are of tall ships and fireworks and are suitable for people of all ages.
